In the latest events, a PTI report stated that Wahab Riaz, who is the head coach for women’s team, is all set to lose his job. Former Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz was appointed as a coach for the Pakistan women's cricket team in January 2026 and is set to be relieved from his role in less than a year’s time.“Even Mohsin Naqvi has now realised that some radical measures are required to end the losing streak and abrupt happenings in Pakistan cricket. So these changes are now on the cards,” an internal source said to PTI.This development comes days after the trophy debacle. For the unversed, Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the ACC chief, was present during Asia Cup final for the trophy presentation, but the India women's side refused to take the trophy from him, following the footsteps of the men's team.Aaqib Javed To Lose His Role As SelectorBesides Wahab Riaz, Aaqib Javed is also set to be sacked as Pakistan selector.
