On Wednesday, April 22, Lucknow Super Giants hosted Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2026 match 32 at the Ekana Stadium. Both teams are fresh off a defeat and in dire need of a win. The hosts are more desperate than Rajasthan as the Rishabh Pant-led side are placed 9th on the table.

Talking about the toss, two captains - Rishabh Pant and Riyan Parag walked down the middle for the coin flip. The luck favoured the hosts, who won the toss asked Rajasthan Royals to bat first.

Shedding light on the team changes - Lucknow Super Giants have made two changes - Mayank Yadav replaces Avesh Khan. Digvesh Rathi too has returned to the playing XI, replacing M. Siddharth.

 For Rajasthan Royals, they have named the same playing XI. Notably, the Royals suffered a close defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Rishabh Pant: "We are going to bowl first. We have been playing in these conditions. We are still trying to figure out our best combination but we want to put the opposition under pressure and send them to bat first.

(On the surface here in Lucknow) See, in the last few matches, it has been challenging for us. At the same time, as a team you love the challenge. We got to figure out a way, just to unwind how we want to play on this surface and we are not looking it as a disadvantage. We have to play fearless cricket.

Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "[Whether he would have batted or bowled?] Actually, told my boys that I will try to lose the toss because I was very confused. I am happy with either batting or bowling. Batting first, we have played a few domestic games here, and it slows down. We will try and extract that.
