There are ups and downs in cricket. One day it will be good, one day it will be bad. There is no point in resigning here. It's normal. I came with a big target. When I can't deliver that…everyone will feel bad and it's natural. But as a team, we have given a lot in the past. I think we will give in the future too. We will try for that again.”Not long ago, Litton Das had vowed to steer the Bangladesh team into the final to clinch either the gold or a silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games.However, Bangladesh’s recent loss in the bronze-medal shootout ensured that the team will return home without a medal, marking the first time that Bangladesh have failed to win a medal in men’s cricket at the Asian Games.What is Litton Das record as Bangladesh captainLitton Das led the Bangladesh T20I team for the first time in his career way back in 2021. However, the attacking wicketkeeper-batter was appointed as Bangladesh’s full-time T20I skipper in 2024, i.e., just a couple of years ago.To date, the cricketer has led the national side in 33 matches, yielding 16 wins and as many defeats in the process.As of now, it remains to be seen if the 32-year-old will continue to lead the Bangladesh team or not.
