While teenage opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi laid out the early foundation for India with two huge sixes in his nine-ball 15, it was Abhishek Sharma who wore out the Pakistan bowlers with his scorching 28-ball 61.The left-handed opener launched seven huge sixes and three boundaries, before captain Shreyas Iyer and Pakistan’s familiar nemesis Ishan Kishan scored calculated 20s in the middle overs. Tilak Varma blasted 51* off just 22 at the death, while Shivam Dube slapped 27 off 15 to dent Pakistan’s spirited middle-overs fightback.
