(Korogi T20I stats)
The numbers from the six T20Is played at Korogi Sports Park offer an interesting clue about how teams have fared at the venue. A total of 1,295 runs have been scored across 12 innings, with the first innings accounting for 814 runs compared to 481 in the second.
That difference suggests that putting runs on the board has generally been the more productive approach at this ground.
The results also strengthen that reading. Teams batting first have won four of the six matches played at Korogi Sports Park, while those fielding first have managed just two victories.
The first innings has also produced 42 wickets, compared to 35 in the second innings, showing that the surface can continue to offer something to the bowlers as the game progresses.

The overall scoring rate at the venue stands at 6.41 runs per over, while the average runs per wicket is 16.81. With the second innings producing considerably fewer runs historically, chasing could become increasingly difficult if the bowling side manages to put pressure on the batting team early.
For the India Women vs Japan Women quarterfinal, the toss could therefore have an important bearing on the strategy. The captain winning it may be tempted to bat first and make the most of the comparatively stronger first-innings numbers before the surface becomes harder to score freely on.

The weather conditions in Nisshin are expected to remain largely favourable when India Women take on Japan Women in the Asian T20 2026 quarterfinal on September 18.
According to AccuWeather, the afternoon temperature is forecast to touch 31°C, while the RealFeel temperature could climb to around 34°C.
Rain does not appear to be a major concern for the contest, with the probability of precipitation currently at just 17% and no significant rainfall expected. However, partly sunny conditions and 52% cloud cover could keep the atmosphere slightly overcast at times.
With only a limited threat of rain and warm conditions expected, India and Japan should be able to enjoy a largely uninterrupted quarterfinal.
Conclusion The Korogi Sports Park conditions could make the India Women vs Japan Women quarterfinal an intriguing contest, with the venue’s numbers suggesting that batting first has generally brought greater success.
With rain unlikely to be a major interruption and the first-innings record stronger at this ground, the toss could hold added importance for Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. as well as their counterparts. The match will be a thrilling one since a competitive total could prove crucial in the race for a place in the semifinals.
