However, with some underperformances last season, a couple of teams are in need of a new opener ahead of the IPL 2027. Here's a look at the teams that could bid for Shai Hope:1. Delhi CapitalsAs mentioned above, Hope has already played for the Capitals in 2024.In IPL 2026, DC bought Ben Duckett and Pathum Nissanka to accompany KL Rahul, but Duckett withdrew from the season, and Nissanka was in and out of the team due to a bit of inconsistency.Moving ahead, DC could look for a solid partner for KL Rahul, and currently Shai Hope perfectly fits the bill. The Caribbean batter also plays for Pretoria Capitals, so getting used to the Capitals' surroundings wouldn't be an issue.2. Lucknow Super GiantsLSG tried a lot of different opening combinations last season, but couldn't nail down their preferred partner for Mitchell Marsh. While the Super Giants have Aiden Markram, he was shifted to the middle-order mid-season, so Hope and Markram can co-exist.Rishabh Pant leaving for DC means the captaincy could be up for grabs.ALSO READ"Fighting Knock": Fans Hail Cummins And Matt Renshaw For Heroic Australian Recovery
