Hence, the BCCI will hear feedback from the associations, including matters regarding hosting, venue operations and match-day coordination.Decision on Impact Player Rule beckoningSince the Impact Player rule was introduced in IPL 2023, it has seen a huge amount of criticism from fans, media and even current and former players. The scoring rates have gone berserk, and there have been complaints that bowlers have no say in the match.As noted by many, the average run rate from IPL 2023 to 2026 has been 9.51, as opposed to 8.33 in the four years prior to it. This has been a major talking point around the league lately.Taking these factors into consideration, the BCCI and IPL governing council have recently shown a willingness to discuss the rule's future.
