India vs Pakistan resumption possible

The possibility of the resumption of India vs Pakistan matches outside ICC and ACC events is being considered by the apex council. According to reports, the ICC will discuss the prospect of organising a tri-series or a quadrangular series involving the Asian arch-rivals at the upcoming FTP meeting in Dubai.

It is worth noting that India and Pakistan teams have not faced each other outside an ICC or an ACC event since January 2013.

Ishan Kishan bludgeons quick century for East Zone

East Zone captain Ishan Kishan bludgeoned 111* runs off just 135 balls with 14 boundaries and a six against South Zone in the final of the Duleep Trophy 2026 season in Chennai. His innings helped the East Zone team reach a commanding 385-4 in 79 overs by stumps on Day 1.

Kishan also became only the sixth cricketer in East Zone history to score a century in a Duleep Trophy final.

Mohammed Shami likely to make India return

Legendary Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami will likely be recalled into the national side. As per a report, the 36-year-old is being considered to be selected in Team India squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the West Indies. 

The report reads, “The door may be open for the return of experienced Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami to the ODI team. This is largely due to the fact that many of India's leading fast bowlers will be in Japan for the Asian Games at that time.”

Mike Hesson hints Test selection of Usman Tariq

Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson has hinted a possible Test call-up for white-ball spinner Usman Tariq. While speaking with the reporters in England prior to the third Test of the series, Hesson called for the inclusion of “variety” into the Pakistan bowling attack. 

He said, “Pakistan is known for pace, unusual actions, and mystery spin; we haven't really been able to present any of that.”

Sai Kishore takes five for Gloucestershire

Indian spinner Sai Kishore decimated Derbyshire with stunning figures of 5-20 from his 18 overs. The cricketer claimed seven wickets in the match, and helped the Gloucestershire cricket club secure a comprehensive win by 213 runs in Bristol in match 41 of the County Championship Division Two 2026.
