The IPL 2026 is almost at its business end now; however, the intensity of the game is still alive. As the tournament reaches the conclusion of the group stage, a recent clip from a Haryanvi commentary stint has gone viral online.
Notably, during the PBKS vs DC clash on May 11, an unintentional yet obscene act occurred. A Haryanvi commentator on the panel abused on live television.
Although the slang went unnoticed during the match, multiple social media handles later posted a video of the commentator's abuse while commenting on Priyansh Arya, the PBKS opener’s batting.
The Haryanvi Commentary Panel In IPL 2026

Randeep Hooda's 'Ben-Stokes' Comment Goes Viral!
In the video that went viral on the internet, veteran actor Randeep Hooda, who is Haryanvi by birth, appeared as a guest on the Haryanvi commentary panel.
Given his inexperience with on-air commentary, Randeep made a slip of the tongue and accidentally used an abusive word while praising Priyansh Arya's batting during the Delhi Capitals vs Punjab Kings match.
The 'Ben Stokes-like' commentary, after Arya hit Lungi Ngidi for a breath-taking six, quickly went viral, with many netizens appreciating the raw and unfiltered nature of the Haryanvi IPL commentary panel.

Although it is not considered the most appropriate way to conduct commentary with abusive words being used on air, Randeep Hooda's remark seemingly went unnoticed initially before the short clip started circulating widely on social media.
Priyansh Arya Destruction In PBKS vs DC Clash
Speaking of Priyansh Arya, the youngster was impressive in the match as he took on Mitchell Starc from the very first over.
As Punjab Kings went in to bat, Priyansh Arya smashed a 33-ball 56 with six sixes and two boundaries to his name while striking at 169.70. His heroics had Starc fuming, with the 24-year-old currently averaging 34.20 in IPL 2026.
So far this season, Arya has bagged three half-centuries, including scores of 37-ball 93 and 17-ball 43, while boasting an overall strike rate of 226.49.
Delhi Capitals Dominate Punjab At Home
Nevertheless, Priyansh Arya's contributions fell flat as Delhi Capitals chased down the mammoth target of 211 runs set by Punjab Kings inside 19 overs.
After a disastrous start, solid contributions from Axar Patel, David Miller, and Ashutosh Sharma had DC move into a vantage position. The constant counter-attacking left PBKS bowlers Yash Thakur and Marcus Stoinis helpless.
Debutant Ben Dwarshuis also gave away 51 runs from his four-over spell while taking one wicket. The late onslaught from DC snatched what seemed like a comfortable win for Punjab Kings and handed them their fourth consecutive defeat.
