India are taking on Namibia in the 18th match of the T20 World Cup 2026. The IND vs NAM game is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday, February 12.

As the host nation, India come into this match with strong confidence after an impressive start to their campaign. Not only did they perform well with the bat, but they were also disciplined with the ball. As a result, they look like a well-balanced and confident team.

In their first match against the USA, India found themselves in serious trouble at 77 for 6. However, Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant innings and helped his team reach a total of 161 runs. Because of his effort, India were able to post a competitive score.

Later, the bowlers stepped up and defended the target by 29 runs, with Mohammed Siraj taking three wickets in his return to T20Is.

On the other hand, Namibia had a disappointing start. They scored 156 for 8 against the Netherlands, but the Dutch chased down the target comfortably with seven wickets in hand and two overs left.

Although Nicol Loftie-Eaton scored 42 and Bernard Scholtz took one wicket, it was not enough. Therefore, Namibia will be looking to improve and play boldly to challenge a confident Indian side.

IND vs NAM Match 18: Captains Thoughts

Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): "(On what he would've done had he won the toss) Yeah, yeah, we were looking to bat first. Very happy with it as long as we are losing the toss and winning the game, that's completely fine.

(On defending totals) Absolutely. See, dew is going to play a huge role in this game. It's a long tournament. When you bat first and go out there and defend, it gives you a lot of confidence.

(On the surface) Yeah, it looks a very good wicket. Hopefully, the batters go out and enjoy themselves. There is a lot of crowd coming in and hopefully we entertain them.

Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia Captain): "We are going to bowl first. I think it is a very good flat cricketing surface. From a dew point of view, I think it is good to bowl first. It is about tightening up our skill sets. We need to get some partnership.

Looks like a good wicket. Yeah, at the end of the day, it is what we do, we try to entertain the crowd. Lovely to play in India. We have made 2 changes. We have added an extra seamer. Ben Shikongo comes in for Willem Myburgh."
