The leadership reshuffle comes after the end of the Brendon McCullum-Ben Stokes era, with the ECB placing its faith in one of the country's greatest Test batters and one of the most accomplished coaches in world cricket.While Joe Root's return to the captaincy has naturally become the biggest talking point, the former skipper admitted that Fleming's arrival, which stemmed from McCullum's exit, played a major role in convincing him to take charge once again. However, preparations will be far from ideal, with most players currently involved in The Hundred.Despite the unusual build-up, Joe Root remains eager to begin his second stint as England captain."It's always a huge honour to turn up to the start of a Test series and to get your teeth into what will be a really good contest against a good team in Pakistan.
