German model and influencer LizLaz, who recently went viral after Virat Kohli allegedly liked one of her old Instagram posts, has now made a massive claim related to Kohli.
How LizLaz became a viral name after Virat Kohli's Instagram activity?
It is important to note that the controversy began in April 2026 when fans noticed that Virat Kohli's official Instagram account had liked a picture posted by LizLaz several months earlier.
Soon, screenshots of the 'like' spread rapidly across several social media platforms.
Fans began searching for information about the influencer, leading to a massive increase in her online popularity. The like was reportedly removed later, but by then the topic had already gone viral.
LizLaz is known as a German-South African travel vlogger, singer, and model. She has built a following through travel content, multilingual videos, and cultural posts connected to India.

German Model claims she was offered money to speak against Virat Kohli
The controversy has become even bigger now after LizLaz reportedly revealed during a media interaction that several journalists and media outlets contacted her after the viral Instagram incident.
According to her, she received offers of money to make false allegations and spread negativity about Virat Kohli.
She reportedly said that some people pressured her to create stories that could damage the Kohli's image. However, she refused every offer and made it clear that she would never speak badly about someone she admires.
"I was very happy and a little emotional about it, but I never expected something like this to happen. I would get so many calls from different magazines. Some people even pressure you to say things you don't want to say."
"Some journalists even offered me money to say bad things about him (Kohli) and make allegations he never made. But why would I do that? I said it myself that he's my favourite cricketer. So why would I say bad things about him for money? I'm not that kind of person,” LizLaz was quoted as saying on Dainik Bhaskar.
LizLaz reportedly stated that Kohli is her favourite cricketer and that she was actually emotional and happy when she discovered that the Indian batter had liked her reel. She added that she was shocked by the amount of attention the incident received online.
Virat Kohli's IPL 2026 performance so far
Talking about Kohli's on-field performance, the star player is currently playing in the IPL 2026 for RCB. His performances in IPL 2026 have also remained under the spotlight. The veteran batter started the tournament strongly and played several impactful knocks for RCB.
However, the former Indian captain has recently faced a slight dip in form. For the first time since 2022, Virat Kohli registered consecutive ducks during matches against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.
