But in recent times, Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan broke Kohli’s record of scoring the most runs in a T20 World Cup edition. Just not Virat Kohli, he also went past some of the cricket legends of all time.

In the T20 World Cup 2014, Virat Kohli scored 319 runs, and Sahibzada Farhan ended the tournament with 383 runs. He didn’t just surpass Virat Kohli, as he now holds the record of scoring the most runs in a single T20 World Cup edition.

Breaking Virat Kohli’s record must be on every youngster’s bucket list, and after Sahibzada Farhan broke his record, the entire cricket world showered praises on the young batter. As the batter lived in his dream moment, an unimaginable rumor spread all over the internet, and Pakistani fans couldn’t be more embarrassed.

In an edited cover photo of a book, Sahibzada Farhan was seen sitting on a throne. The book was titled Hero In The Making, which led to rumors that he was releasing a book about how he broke Virat Kohli’s T20 World Cup record.

Fact Check: Is Sahibzada Farhan really releasing a book?

As the edited picture is now all over the internet, a closer look at the current situation indicates it is a complete fake. While Sahibzada Farhan did break Virat Kohli’s long-standing record on the big stage of the T20 World Cup, it certainly does not mean he is writing an entire book about it.

Moreover, neither the cricketer nor any other book publication has confirmed the news of releasing any books regarding this topic. Although the edited image grabbed attention online, there is no solid evidence that Sahibzada Farhan is planning to write a book about breaking Virat Kohli’s record.

Even though Pakistan had a forgettable campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026, Sahibzada Farhan shone with his batting brilliance. In seven matches, he scored 383 runs with two hundreds and two fifties. As the PSL 2026 is inching closer, the Pakistani batter is all set to shift his focus to the upcoming tournament.
