The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally unveiled the complete schedule for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Earlier this month, the board had released the itinerary for the first 20 matches of the tournament, keeping the remainder of the schedule pending due to the announcement of election dates.
As per the initial first-phase schedule, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise will be taking on Rajasthan Royals in match number three of the tournament first-up on March 30. Here, we take a look at the entire schedule of CSK’s share of matches for the IPL 2026 season.
CSK IPL Schedule 2026
The CSK franchise will fly to Guwahati to face hosts Rajasthan Royals in their opening match of the IPL 2026 season. Under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, the team will subsequently host Punjab Kings on April 3 to play their first home game of the tournament.
As per the traditional norms, CSK will be playing all their seven home matches of the season at the iconic Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. Moreover, the three of their final four league fixtures will be played at their home ground, thus giving them a competitive edge during the deceive stage of the competition.

CSK IPL Auction Review
The CSK franchise entered the IPL 2026 auction in December with a purse value of Rs. 43.4 crores. After finishing at the bottom of the points table last year by securing just four wins from 14 matches, the franchise released nine of their players prior to the bidding event.
The CSK even traded out franchise veteran and legendary all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in exchange of in-form wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson.
At the auction, the franchise shelled out a staggering sum of Rs. 14.20 crores each on two Indian domestic talents, namely bowling all-rounder Prashant Veer and young Rajasthan cricketer Kartik Sharma. Overall, the franchise made nine purchases at the auction, which includes experienced T20 spinners like Rahul Chahar and West Indies cricketer Akeal Hosein.
The five-time winners also acquired New Zealand fast bowlers Matt Henry and Zakary Foulkes in a bid to enhance their pace attack. While Nathan Ellis was one of the 16 cricketers retained by the CSK management, the Australian fast bowler was ruled out of IPL 2026 owing to an injury, prompting the franchise to sign up KKR reject Spencer Johnson instead.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to continue as captain of the side, after missing a significant portion of the IPL 2025 season last year owing to an injury. His absence prompted former skipper MS Dhoni to take over leadership role. Apart from Gaikwad and Dhoni, the most prominent faces retained by the franchise are Shivam Dube, Khaleel Ahmed and Dewald Brevis.
