Previously, a Bangladesh series was only considered an opportunity to test out the B teams. But with their recent progress, England could use their home summer to prepare for the World Cup alongside the Ashes.According to the public statements issued by a BCB officer, the official talks between the boards are going on, and he expects a positive outcome from them. As per the original schedule, Bangladesh and England will play a one-off Test at Lord's from May 28 to June 1."Our discussions with England are continuing. England have already announced their home schedule, and there is only one Test. While England have toured Bangladesh a few times, the trips the other way around have been few and far between.Their last two encounters on English soil were ICC events in 2017 and 2019. Apart from that, Bangladesh played a tri-series with Australia and England in England in 2005 and a three-match ODI series in 2010.
