Shan Masood charts historic Test century vs West Indies
Shan Masood composed 109 runs off 184 balls with 12 boundaries to bring up his seventh Test century, doing so on Day 3 of Pakistan’s series-opening first Test against West Indies. The innings also marked his first century in the format since January 2025, and his first since getting sacked as Pakistan Test captain.

He also became the first cricketer in history to score a Test century at the Brian Lara Academy in Tarouba, Trinidad.
Pakistan announces squads, schedule of National Champions Cup 2026
The PCB has unveiled complete squads and the entire schedule of the 2026 National Champions Cup. The tournament will be held between August 11 and August 18, and all seven matches will be hosted by the iconic Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.
As many as four teams will be competing in the 50-overs event, set to be led by Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan.
Babar Azam notches up huge world record
Babar Azam scored just 23 runs off 38 balls against West Indies on his captaincy return for Pakistan. Through the course of his knock, the legendary Pakistani batter completed 4,500 runs in Test cricket.
He has now become the first cricketer in history to aggregate over 4,500 runs in each of the three formats of the game. He is already the leading run-maker in T20Is with 4,596 runs at an average of nearly 39.
Delhi Capitals ready to trade Axar Patel for Hardik Pandya
The Delhi Capitals franchise has joined the race to sign in legendary all-rounder Hardik Pandya from the Mumbai Indians for next year’s IPL 2027 season. As per reports, the Capitals franchise is ready to offload senior all-rounder Axar Patel and explosive opening batter Prithvi Shaw in exchange for the Mumbai Indians skipper.
Over the past few weeks, several reports also indicated that Pandya might shift to the MS Dhoni-starrer CSK franchise.
Shakib Al Hasan joins Pokhara Avengers for NPL 2026
Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has been roped in by the Pokhara Avengers franchise for the upcoming 2026 edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The franchise welcomed the legendary cricketer, describing him as the “greatest all-rounder in cricket history”. The NPL 2026 season is scheduled to be played in Nepal later this year.
