Although Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma tried to rebuild the innings, Hosein broke their partnership at an important moment. He later dismissed Suryakumar as well, finishing with impressive figures of 4/17, including one maiden over.
Notably, Chennai’s bowlers completely took control of the game. They bowled Mumbai out for just 104 runs, turning the match into a one-sided contest. As a result, Chennai secured a comfortable and memorable victory.

Later, during the post-match presentation, Akeal Hosein explained that many players and even footballers have their own signature celebrations or “mask” styles.
"Everybody seems to have their own mask. Noor has a mask, a couple of footballers have their masks, so I just chose this one. I just chose this one to be my mask,” Hosein said.
Therefore, Akeal Hosein decided to create one for himself as well. In simple terms, it was just his personal way of celebrating success on the field.
Furthermore, this performance marked an important achievement in Hosein’s career. He now has 259 wickets in T20 cricket, and this was his sixth four-wicket haul. Notably, it was also his first four-wicket performance in the IPL.
Finally, with this win, CSK moved up to fifth place in the points table. They now have 3 wins and 4 losses, along with a net run rate of 0.118.
