So, That was all for this match. I Ansh Mishra signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya Krishna and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. We will see you in the next match. Until then, Good Bye!
Will Jacks: "Brilliant, we came in with four wins and one no result. We won today and added one more to it. We have one more game tomorrow and we want to win it too. It was a pretty good surface. I misjudged it a bit and almost lost my wicket. But I went through with it and found the boundary. Batting with Jason Roy is a very good thing to be happen. He is a quality player and I like to play with him. We have a game tomorrow which is a London Derby and we don't want to lose it."
That's it from this match between Surrey and Sussex. Surrey beat Sussex with 7 wickets remaining. Surrey openers did good work from the very start of the innings. The main thing was, that Surrey, didn't lose a single wicket in the powerplay overs and was successful to set up a big score at the end of the first six overs. Jason Roy and Will Jacks started the innings for Surrey and both of them scored half-centuries. Jason Roy departed after scoring 50 runs and the other opener, Will Jacks walked back to the pavilion with 57 runs in his account. The first down batsman, Sam Curran couldn't make it big in this match and walked back with just a single in his account. Then came in to bat, Keiron Pollard, and scored quick 23 runs off 11 deliveries while building a partnership with Laurie Evans and he scored 10 runs. On the other hand, the bowling unit of Sussex didn't look in good touch as they were not able to get any wicket in the first six overs. A total of 6 bowling options were used by the Sussex. Obed McCoy bagged 2 wickets of Jason Roy and Sam Curran while Tymal Mills just got 1 wicket of Will Jacks and gave 50 runs in his 4 overs. The other bowlers, Delray Rawlins, Steven Finn, Archie Lenham, and Ravi Bopara were not able to get any of the wickets. Surrey was in full control of this match and ended up winning it of their outstanding bowling and their batting as well. It was just another bad day at the office for Sussex. They'll be hoping to bounce back stronger in the next match.
