But struggled a bit during the mid-way. But a couple of guys took pressure of me. They played good strokes. In between West Indies bowled well. West Indies was tasked with the job of chasing down 161 runs in their 20 overs. The start to their innings was moderate as they scored 53 runs in the first 6 overs for the loss of two wickets.
But after this they faced a major collapse, as they lost 6 wickets for just 21 runs. Within the 14th over of the chase West Indies was left reeling at 84 for 8. Kyle Mayers was the highest scorer in the top order with 20 runs off 13 balls. But the middle order failed to provide any resilience to the team as number 4, 5 and 6 just managed to score only 14 runs.
The Scottish bowlers were right on the money throughout the innings and never allowed the breathing space to opposition batters. Holder (38 off 33) fought the battle alone for the West Indies towards the end. But it was too much of a task for even him in the end. West Indies in the end perished for 118 runs losing the match by 42 runs .
They will need to bounce back quickly in the next match to make it to the Super 12 of the tournament.
