That's it from our live coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash, Karthik Raj and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Cheers.
Tomorrow (October 13), a double-header awaits us in the One-Day Cup competition. In the first game, New South Wales will host Tasmania in Sydney. Meanwhile, in the second fixture, which will be a day-night game, Western Australia will host Queensland at the iconic WACA Ground in Perth.
A fine performance by South Australia as they register a 70-run win over Victoria. The Redbacks have won their second game and remain unbeaten this season. Credit should go to Matthew Gilkes for scoring a fine ton and to the side's bowling attack, who made the lives of the Victorian batters difficult on a surface that had nice bounce and carry.
Player of the Match: Matthew Gilkes
3:32 PM IST, 9:02 PM Local Time: So the last batter, Sam Elliott, won't come out to bat after getting injured in the first innings. Therefore, Victoria are now all out for 241 inside 44 overs and lose the game by 70 runs. The South Australians have registered a fine victory and both their batters and bowlers delivered in this fixture. The side has now registered their second win of the season while the Bushrangers have suffered their second defeat of the tournament.
After being given a massive target of 312 runs, Victoria came out for the chase with intent and were given a decent start by their opening pair of Matthew Short and Tom Rogers. But once the first wicket fell after adding 47 runs, Victoria lost the next three batters, including their skipper Peter Handscomb, in quick succession.

Then Oliver Peake and Liam Blackford stitched a massive 114-run stand for the fifth wicket. Till the time the duo were at the crease, it seemed that Victoria would pull off this chase but in the 37th over, Wes Agar dismissed Peake for 73 off 74 balls. After Glenn Maxwell failed to deliver and Blackford also got out just after completing his half-century. The Redbacks then wrapped up the tail to give their side a fine victory.
Earlier in the day, South Australia batted first and lost three wickets inside the first five overs. But then Henry Hunt and Matthew Gilkes stabilised the innings by adding 104 runs for the fourth wicket. Gilkes then had an 85-run stand with Jake Lehmann for the fifth wicket before the latter got dismissed. However, Gilkes continued batting and went on to score a ton. His knock of 127 runs off 115 balls helped Redbacks post a massive total of 311/10 in 49.3 overs.
