On this note, I, Manan Mehta would like to take your leave on behalf of my colleagues Ajay Pal Singh, Darpan Tikiya and Paras Yadav. See you!!!
Super Sunday coming up! We have an interesting doubleheader lined up for the Men's Hundred. Sunrisers Leeds will take on Welsh Fire at Headingley, Leeds, at 7 PM IST (2:30 PM Local Time). After that, London Spirit will take on Birmingham Phoenix at Lord's, London, at 10:30 PM IST (6 PM Local Time).
For the Brave, it seems like the end of the road. They are stuck on 6th position with 8 points next to their name. They needed a win desperately today. At the halfway point they would have felt like they had done enough. However, in our sport nothing is safe and you need to play a complete game to be crowned winners. They shall play for pride in the upcoming games.
The Manchester Super Giants have done themselves a world of good with this 10-run win. They have leaped from rank 5 to rank 2 in the points table. They have made a little space for themselves in that 16-point log jam in which 4 teams are locked. Super Giants have the best NRR amongst all and are favourites to qualify.
Paul Walter (POTM): "[Happy with his knock] Yeah, obviously delighted to get the result. And we move on to the last game.

[On favouring leg side] Not too much premeditation, not one of my finest knocks today. Was a bit agricultural but yeah, it is always a bit of low scoring here. Just thought that we should get off to a flying start.

[On coming in as Aiden Markram's replacement] Yeah, obviously you just want to come in and make an impact. I knew coming in, that we needed to win three out of three to try and have a chance to qualify. Just trying to do what I can to help the side.

[On the surface and collapse] Yeah, I think. It was a good score at the halfway. So, obviously a bit disappointed with how we ended with the bat. Boys bowled brilliantly to defend that the way we did.

[On Tim Seifert's injury] Yeah, haven't seen him to be honest. Hopefully, he's going to be okay. Big game coming up in a few days time."

1:16 AM IST, 8:46 PM Local Time: Manchester Super Giants win by 10 runs! This has been a T20 classic. It had multiple ebbs and flows, and, in the end, Manchester Super Giants were 10 runs better than their opponents. The way their openers started was so crucial as post that partnership, batting seemed like the hardest thing to do. Brave were struggling all through the chase and at no point looked in control of it. They in all likeliness have been knocked out of the competition.
Manchester Super Giants won the toss and elected to bat first. Their openers gave them the dream start. Tim Seifert and Paul Walter added 119 runs for the first wicket. Tim Seifert smoked 55 and Paul Walter smashed 64. However, the first wicket at 119 brought about a stunning collapse. The middle order simply could not add anything and from 119/0, the Super Giants slipped to 125/5 in the span of 14 balls. Things did not get any better for the Super Giants as they lost 3 more wickets before getting restricted to 149/8 in 100 overs. They were 40 short of where they looked like heading with that opening stand. The pick of the bowlers for the Southern Brave was Adil Rashid with figures of 1-17. Jofra Archer, Moeen Ali, Nikhil Chaudhary and Chris Jordan had a wicket each to their name.
The Brave started off the chase on a poor note as they lost Michael Pepper for a 3-ball duck. The other opener, Jamie Smith played out a laboured 26 off 25 in his 54-run stand with Tristan Stubbs. Moeen Ali fell for a 3-ball duck as well and the Brave were reeling at 54/3. Tristan Stubbs was trying his level best from the other end to keep the scoring rate high. Along with Marcus Stoinis, he added 40 off just 21 balls for the 4th wicket.
That partnership came to an end when Josh Tongue bamboozled Stoinis for 21 off 12 with a pace off delivery. David Miller walked in but could not add much value with his 7 off 8 balls. Stubbs continued as the lone warrior and smoked crucial sixes to get to his 50. It came down to 38 runs to win off 10 balls. Nikhil Chaudhary brought back life into the game and scored half the runs in half the balls. He took down Josh Tongue for 19 runs in the penultimate five.
