That marks the end of our live coverage of the 14th T20 match of the PSL 2026 between Multan Sultans and RawalPindiZ. Multan Sultans have emerged out victorious by 7 wickets and with 22 balls remaining in the innings. RawalPindiZ have had a horror showdown so far in Lahore as they slumped up to fourth consecutive defeat.

Now, we have a day break in PSL 2026 as the caravan moves to Karachi. On Wednesday, Hyderabad Kingsmen will be in action as they will lock horns against Peshawar Zalmi. Join us for that action.

Until then, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Dev Rajawat and Manan Mehta, the scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer and the statistician of this game Mohammad Anab. Good night.
Ashton Turner (Multan Sultans Captain): "(A fantastic start to the tournament in Lahore) We are playing good cricket. We are having fun around the change room, a lot of smiles around. We lost that Lahore game but you know there's always a room to improve on. Our batting is going well but we need some time. A few areas in bowling needs improvement. The first half of the campaign was great and let's see what Karachi is going to offer.

(On the effectiveness of Faisal Akram) That's the nature of the wrist spinners. We have the luxury of having a couple of bowlers in our top seven batters. That gives us the flexibility. So the wrist spinner in our ranks is good to have. They might not bowl like a lot but they are match winners. Momin got the man of the match earlier and today Faisal became the man of the match. They are going to be a big part.

(On Sahibzada Farhan's good form) Beautiful player. He has been supported as we have got a lot of quality batters. We have some world class players in the top of the order but what is more exciting that the locals are also stepping up. The middle order batters are showing some intent although they have not answered much. We are seeking the contributions from the entire team throughout."
Mohammad Rizwan (RawalPindiZ Captain): "(Need a fresh start in Karachi?) Yes we need to start fresh in Karachi. We will make some changes in Karachi in regard to the conditions. Hopefully the luck changes too.

(The impact of multiple changes in the side) In franchise cricket, if you make one change, you need to make a couple more. It also happens because there are foreigners in the event. However, whenever you step on to the field, you try to go with a balanced one. There are a lot of things not in your hands as well. For example, the toss. The toss has been a bit of a factor in the last 3 games. Early on the ball grips a tad, which is why we miss out on that margin of 10-20 runs and that affects the result."
Faisal Akram (Player of the Match): (On getting the opportunity and support from management) ā€œI would like to thank my management for believing in me and trusting me. I was really thrilled to get the opportunity.

(On his mindset and execution) My basic plan was to focus on what is under my control. I wanted to bowl according to the pitch and conditions, and that would help me succeed.

(On balancing between containing runs and taking wickets) I focused on both - stopping runs and taking wickets when needed. I’m happy that I was successful in doing that.ā€
