So that's the official end of the match and due to rain, it has been called off.
The lunch was taken earlier and it seemed that it would start after lunch but god has some other plans it started raining heavily again and it seemed that it would never end.
After the lunch, the umpires had a look at the ground and if the rain would have stopped as the outfield was much drowned in water and was so wet that it would take the entire day to dry out the ground hence the match officials decided to take the decision to end the match and both the teams ended up sharing same points.
Everyone is hoping to see some good weather in the upcoming matches as no one would want to get another day with rain pouring in the entire match.

19.15 IST: So far only 16 overs are bowled and because of constant pouring the umpires have decided to take an early lunch. That also means we will have only 10 minutes between innings break. As obvious, we will lose a certain amount of more overs from here. 50 overs game can be reduced to a minimum of 20 overs in order to have a result based on the D/L method. After getting an invitation to bat first, Leinster lost a wicket of Tim Tector in the very first over which was bowled by Josh Manley.
Later on, the duo of Simi Singh and Andy Balbirnie put 48 runs together before Balbirnie got out on the individual score of 26. The pair of Simi (25*) and Harry Tector (3*) is at the crease and Leinster are 59/2 in 16 overs. For Northern Knights, Josh Manley and Matthew Humphreys have scalped one wicket each.
