That's it. Fakhar’s hundred built the house. The bowlers locked the doors. Qalandars take the points. Quetta take the “what ifs.” They can still qualify mathematically, but their fate isn't in their hands solely now, as they depend on others' results.
Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentators, Manan Mehta, Saptak Sanyal, and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Also, a special thanks to our statistician, Mohammad Anab. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But there is one more match scheduled in the PSL today. So, switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!!
Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): (On winning a tight match and what it shows about the team) “It’s good for the team to be in close contests because it shows where you stand. But to be honest, I didn’t feel it was that tight. We want to dedicate this win to Sikandar’s father, who was here today. This victory is for him.
(On what went well in the match) Fakhar Zaman's coming back strongly was a big positive. I think this was his third Player of the Match award this season, and his hundred will always be memorable for us. Those runs were very important.
(On areas to improve for the next match) There are many things to improve, but we’ll try to keep things as simple as possible because that works best for us.”
Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "(On the loss) We had them in the backend of their innings after Fakhar bhai got out. I think he played a stunning knock but post his wicket we gained some control. We batted also pretty well in the chase for most of it. However, that wicket of Rilee Rossouw made all the difference I feel. Had he been there for a couple more overs, the result could have been different.
(On hopes of qualification) I think even if there is 1% chance to qualify, you will be hopeful. Now the things that are not in our control, we can't really bother about them but yeah, we will come and try to win the final game.
(On Shamyl Hussain's knock) The way Shamyl had started off in the tournament, he looked really solid. His health was down in the middle but glad to see him bounce back today in such fashion. Hopefully the good run continues for him."
Fakhar Zaman (Player of the Match):"(On his batting) See the wicket was not conducive to bat on early. The ball was not coming well to the bat. Seam and swing was there. But we have played in Lahore. If you survive the new ball, it becomes easier and that happened.
(How did you strike spin so well today?) Again if you get set against the new ball, you can play the spinners easily. They had the spinners as good as Abrar and Usman Tariq. It was not easy. The new batters of us had trouble but I played out the tough time and that made it a bit easier for me."
Player of the Match: Fakhar Zaman

Smart Wicket of the Match: Haris Rauf (for the wicket of Hasan Nawaz)
