Warwickshire will play their next game against Worcestershire on Friday (3rd June), while Leicestershire will lock horns against Worcestershire on Sunday (5th June). That brings us to the end of this encounter. Till the next time, it's adieus from me (Tugral Azmi), my fellow commentator Arya Sekhar Chakraborty along with our scorer/analyst Paras.

Arya- Jacob Bethell and Paul Stirling strode out in the middle in an attempt to chase down 153. It wasn’t the greatest of starts from Warwickshire as they lost Bethell very early in the bowling of Ben Mike. Paul Stirling then showed a wide range of his brutal shots during his brief stay in the innings. He took his side to 42 inside the powerplay before getting dismissed in the 7th over. Robert Yates looked in great touch and raced off to 24 of just 12 deliveries before perishing.

With two quick wickets in the form of Yates and Stirling, Warwickshire was under a bit of pressure but the required rate was well within grasp and a sensible partnership at that stage would have to seem them go over the line. However, wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and the set batters couldn’t quite kick on when the required rate went up. Alex Davies played beautifully for his knock of 43 and his dismissal allowed Leicestershire to have a stronghold on the game.

Henry Brookes was dismissed by Rehan Ahmed and it was looking way too difficult for Warwickshire to chase this down. They lost the 9th wicket at the score of 117 and the only positive for them was the presence of Carlos Brathwaite. With 23 required off the final over, he smashed a six and a four to start the over but two good deliveries eventually sealed the game for Leicestershire. In the end, they won by 5 runs.

Earlier in the day, Leicestershire won the toss and decided to bat, which was seen as going in their favor. Although the start of Leicestershire was not good, it lost their first batsman for 9 runs, but after that, Sterling and Yates took over the innings, and by the end of the powerplay, the score reached 42 runs.

The Warwickshire bowlers showed Sterling and Yates the way to the pavilion at the end of the powerplay and Leicestershire lost 3 wickets within just 50 runs. But Scott Steel and Ben Mike played a wonderful inning for Leicestershire so that their team could set up a competitive target. Scott and Mike shared a 60-run partnership for the 6th wicket. Scott played an incredible inning of 72 runs in which he hit 5 sixes and 2 fours.

Mike scored 34 runs in 17 balls in an aggressive manner, with the help of which the team was able to put a strong target of 152 runs on the board. Ben Mike and Rehan Ahmed took the most wickets from Leicestershire, both bowlers took three wickets each respectively.

Arya- A great game and in the end, Leicestershire returns triumphant by 5 runs in a close-fought contest where fortunes fluctuated from one side to the other. It wasn't a great total for Leicestershire but their bowlers were right on the mark which eventually helped them eke out a 5 tuns victory.

19.6 W Davis to C Brathwaite
1 That was a low full toss a tad outside off and Brathwaite couldn't quite get under that. Gets it from the cue end of the bat down the mid-off region and only takes a single.
19.5 W Davis to C Brathwaite
6 And Brathwaite has cleared the ropes by quite a distance. A fuller-length delivery a tad outside off. Width was provided there for him to free his arms. A great connection, goes over extra covers and it goes sailing well over the deep extra cover fence. Beautiful execution. Now 7 required of the last delivery. Will he make it a tie?
19.4 W Davis to C Brathwaite
0 That is a full one, Brathwaite swings at that and doesn't make any contact. Just outside off, the bowler misses his slot but Brathwaite couldn't quite get under that.
19.3 W Davis to C Brathwaite
0 Brathwaite won't take the singles. Great reply from Davis after being slammed for a four and a six. Yorker length delivery a tad outside off, Brathwaite gets an inside edge down the square leg area.
19.2 W Davis to C Brathwaite
6 Brathwaite has slammed a six and he has kept them in the game. A baseball shot from Carlos Brathwaite and as they say cometh the hour cometh the captain. What a blow this is from Brathwaite. Slower delivery on the surface, Brathwaite comes down the ground and slaps it away well over the long-on fence. A huge six and he has brought the equation down to 13 of the last 4 deliveries.
