NIKHIL: We are done here at Lord’s, London as the hosts have dominated the Foxes and defeated them by 10 wickets. Middlesex was too hard a team for Leicestershire to put up a fight against when we compare the quality of the bowling line-up of these two sides. Starting from Day 1 the hosts looked dominating throughout this county game. All the seasons of this game belonged to the hosts as they have managed to chip in wickets when they were asked to bowl and they build up decent enough partnerships too when they batted. When the hosts chose to bowl here first, the lethal pair of Afridi and Helm was too hot to handle for the visitors as they managed to bag 6 wickets amongst the two in the first innings whereas the standout batter for the foxes was the number 9 in Parkinson who scored 25 not out, whereas when the hosts came in to bat, they had a centurion in Stoneman and Simpson also chipped in with a half-century helped with a cameo by Hollman and Afridi.

In the 2nd innings hosts were a bowler short as Helm had some niggle but the class of Afridi and Jones this time was a par above the division that they are in right now, as a result, they managed to bundle out Visitors for a score of 272 leaving just 52 runs to win for the hosts which was a walk in the park for their batters and they managed to chase the target in just 10 overs with 10 wickets in hands.

Middlesex look focused on jumping a tier above here whereas Leicestershire needs to look at the lot and shake a bit as Barnes is the only one who is standing up for them every week here.

This is it from the Com-box, I am Nikhil signing off on behalf of my co-commentators in Akshay and Saptak alongside our scorer/analyst Dushyant until the next time till then take care and enjoy.
