Jason Holder (Los Angeles Knight Riders Captain): [Feeling after winning two from two] It's a pleasing feeling; starting the competition well is really important. We just need to keep getting better and keep the momentum going. I think as a group, we are gelling nicely.
[Whether 196 was a good score on the wicket?] We knew that with a good powerplay, one or two wickets, we would be in the game. It was a pretty good wicket and it was easy to stem the flow of runs.
[Difference from previous seasons] I will just keep it a secret. Keep our heads down, stay focussed and get ready for the next game.
[On Shadley van Schalkwyk and Carmi le Roux] The two boys have been quality. Shadley has shown how good he's bene over the last two years. Carmi has come to us for the first time for LA Knight Riders and has shown how good he can be with timely wickets. He's bowling some difficult overs. Hopefully, they will keep going. I am going to rely heavily on them going forward in the tournament."

Marcus Stoinis (Seattle Orcas Captain): "[How did he feel about chasing 196] Yeah, look, after the halfway, we felt we were in the game. I think we bowled well in stages—for the majority of the innings, probably It was just that every time we seemed to create a chance, they would wrestle back momentum. The way we let it go at the end was disappointing as well, so there will definitely be some clips for us to look over in the analysis room. But at the halfway point, we felt we could chase that total down. We've batted really well throughout the tournament so far. It just shows, though: if you lose early wickets and don't get the start you want—which happens in T20 cricket—you end up chasing the game.
[Plan to chase that big total on that surface] We thought the surface would require us to lower our expectations during the powerplay. You still obviously look to score, but losing wickets meant we weren't getting the platform we wanted. We were behind the eight ball for pretty much the whole game, obviously. Sunil was always going to be tough to face on that and they bowled well on it. They bowled exceptionally well. For us, it was just about trying to maintain consistency and change the momentum quickly, but we couldn't quite manage it.
[Thoughts on the campaign so far] Look, I'm not too disappointed with everything, honestly. I think we've played really well in two out of our three games. Today was just an off-game with the bat, but I'm still really proud of the team's batting unit. Having posted two scores well above 200 earlier is a great sign for us. And with the ball, we've actually gotten better with each game. It's just about putting those two departments together in the exact same match going forward."
