Imad Wasim: I think we were 20 runs short. It was a belter of a wicket. The bowlers bowled really well. They bowled to the plans. You should peak at the right time. We have one more game to go. If we win it and qualify, you never know. We have a game to go, we will go out there and play with our full strength.
Noor Ahmad: I am feeling very happy. We all tried to win the match and played to our 100 percent potential.
Noor Ahmed has been named as the 'Man of the Match' for his outstanding spell which included two important scalps
Sohail Akhtar: Our batting has been poor after the 6-7 overs. There were a few lapses on the field as well. Noor bowled well. Imad bowled well as well. The overs of spin were very tight. We will sit down and talk about the batting. The bowling has been good. Our middle order did better compared to the previous games.
Time for the Post-match Presentation ceremony
With 20 required off the final over, Lahore could only get two runs off the first two deliveries before Faulkner holed out in the deep. Rashid Khan brought out some nervous energy in the Karachi camp by hitting a six but he could only manage a boundary off the fifth delivery. Mohammad Ilyas held his nerve and bowled a legitimate delivery as Karachi sealed a seven-run victory to keep their play-off hopes alive
Just when one thought the match was 75% done in Karachi's favour, Tim David and James Faulkner started to smack the ball out of the park. The pair joined together to stitch an amazing 62-run partnership off just 24 balls. Even though Tim David got out out off the final delivery of the 18th over, he left Lahore with an equation of 27 off 12 balls. Faulkner struck a six off the second delivery of the penultimate over but Mohammad Amir stormed back to concede just one run off the remaining four deliveries.
The game changed completely in Karachi's favour when Imad Wasim and the 16-year-old Noor Ahmed tied the knots on Lahore. Initially, Imad bowled Fakhar in the ninth after the latter struggled during his 26-ball 19 while Noor Ahmed dismissed both Ben Dunk and Mohammad Hafeez in a mesmerizing spell. Before Dunk and Hafeez got out, Danish Aziz also produced a brilliant run-out to send back Agha Salman. These regular wickets meant that Lahore collapsed to 92-5.
