Wanindu Hasaranga(B-Love Kandy Captain):- "You know Jaffna is a champion team and we did it really well today. Chameera was injured and later Udana got injured too. So I bowled Mujeeb and did my job. Every day I stick to my basics and try to bowl to the stumps. Wrong'un has been a weapon for me and I got many wickets with that in the recent past. We played a lot of back to back games. I hope the schedule will be a bit longer next time."
Thisara Perera (Jaffna Kings Captain): "No, actually not that case. It was a bad day. The batters let us down. Proud of the boys we have won three titles in a row and now we have failed it happens. Hope to come back next season. I am proud of the boys. Yes, we played as a batting unit and the extra batter but did not click as a unit. I thank the owners for supporting us and hope to bounce back next season. This season, it was not memorable. We were not consistent enough to play well and we bow out of the competition with our heads held high."

Chasing 188, Jaffna lost Charith Asalanka cheaply. Then Chris Lynn and Rahmanullah Gurbaz were playing nicely. But a miscommunication between them cost Gurbaz's wicket. Then it came down to Wanindu Hasaranga who removed Chris Lynn and Dunith Wellalage in his first over to make Jaffna 49-4. It was Shoaib Malik and David Miller who showed some resistance for their 31 and 26 respectively but it was nothing in front of the Hasaranga excellence. Earlier batting first, Mohammad Haris played a fabulous hand of 79 to ensure his team post a good total. He was well partnered by Dinesh Chandimal in the middle. For Jaffna Kings, Nuwan Thushara picked up 4 wickets for 40 runs.
