After Lendl Simmons departed for a well compiled 68, it was time for Nicholas Pooran to take the centre stage as the dynamic batter scored his first half-century of the tournament. T&T skipper, Kieron Pollard played a great cameo towards the end as the big West Indian slammed 36 of a mere 18 deliveries.
A thorough professional performance with the bat by T&T led by Lendl Simmons and Nicholas Pooran. Simmons started off brilliantly for Trinidad, he was the aggressor early on in the innings and took the game to the Scorpions, and he was amply supported by Jason Mohammed who played the anchors role to perfection.
