Super Sunday comes to an end by giving us our four playoff teams and in order. It was a day with no dead rubbers and everything to play for as the four teams on display showed us all what they were about.

Tomorrow all the qualified teams will get a breather. On Tuesday, 28 April, we will have our Qualifier. 1. Peshawar Zalmi vs 2. Islamabad United in Karachi at 7.30 IST (7 PM Local Time).

On this note, I Manan Mehta would like to take your leave on behalf of my colleagues Saptak Sanyal, Dev Rajawat, Mohammad Anab and Zeeshan Naiyer. B-byeee
Play-off Fixtures of Pakistan Super League 2026:

Qualifier- Peshawar Zalmi vs Islamabad United (Karachi, 28th April, 2026)

Eliminator 1- Multan Sultans vs Hyderabad Kingsmen (Lahore, 29th April, 2026)
Shadab Khan (Islamabad United Captain): "(On Multan getting to 192) When you are winning a lot of things get tucked under the bed. However, we were poor with our execution in the death with the ball and even in the field we leaked a few unnecessary runs. I dropped a catch as well and the kind of form Shan is in it could have been very costly.

(On their chase) The nature of the wicket was such that if we took it deep we could play strokes at the end. You saw how Haider got a few boundaries away. Mohsin has been doing well in the last two games and also Faheem chipped in with the bat. These small but significant performances win you the game. For Chapman, we all know how well he plays in these conditions and against Pakistani bowlers, he did that again.

(On finishing in the top 2) The wish before the tournament is to finish in the top 2. We have done that. The momentum is on our side and hopefully we continue the good work."
Ashton Turner (Multan Sultans Captain): (On the total and losing momentum) "Yeah, I thought we were not far off par, but being par means that you still need to execute your skills in the second part of the game, and unfortunately, we weren’t able to do that. Some key missed opportunities have cost us the game, which is frustrating. But we know that we’ve still got opportunities ahead of us, and it’s going to be a really big week for us.

(On facing Hyderabad Kingsmen in Lahore and adapting to conditions) Yeah, I mean, we’ve played really good cricket in Lahore, so particularly our batting unit will enjoy going back there. We need to pick ourselves up. Clearly, we weren’t at our best tonight, or in the last game. We’ve got some learnings to take out of those games, find a way to get on a plane, feel refreshed, and hopefully, our best cricket is ahead of us.

(On not bowling Arafat Minhas tonight) Oh yeah, it was tactical. Every decision we make in the game is tactical. Mark Chapman plays the left-arm orthodox bowling really nicely. To be fair to him, he played all of our bowlers nicely tonight, but that’s a match-up thing. We do our due diligence. We prepare as best we can. It’s the way it played out. As I said, if we had held some catches, it might have been a little bit different."
Mark Chapman (Player of the Match): "(Why you like so much batting here?) I just love batting here. I enjoy coming here and play some good cricket. Last four days we have played three games. Nice to come up with a win today.

(On finishing second in the points table) We said ahead of this match that we will finish in top two. At the start of the tournament, we would have taken it. Peshawar are playing some good cricket and we are looking forward to play them.

(On batting with Shadab Khan in the middle overs) Shady is a really good cricketer. There was contribution throughout. He is a top cricketer and a top man.
