Shadab Khan (Islamabad United Captain): (On the teamās overall performance) āYes, it was a complete performance. Everyone contributed, especially the bowling unit. The way Gleeson started and the rest of the bowlers followed up was excellent.
(On fielding effort and his catch) Our fielding was really good. I had a bit of time to take that catch while diving to my right. These kinds of efforts lift the team, and that moment helped raise the energy.
(On Conway stepping up) He is a proven player who showed his class. You donāt judge such players on a couple of innings. He played really well on a double-paced pitch, and that was important for us.
(On his own bowling performance) I feel I could have bowled better compared to how Iāve been bowling over the last six months. But I did hit the areas I wanted, and in the end, the result matters. Iām happy with the win. And, I would like to dedicate this victory to Mir Hamza.ā

(Was he surprised by the extra bounce?) We were not surprised by the bounce as it was an Australian wicket. Also, they bowled in really good areas.
(On the team's balance) I think once Fakhar comes back the team balance will get better. To add to his absence, even Emon was missing today. Well, it is part of the sport, and we got to deal with it and the tournament is still in its early stages."

(On the catch to dismiss Ryan Burl) I am glad it stuck. As an off spinner I am used to the ball coming slowly back to me. But this one sort of flew off. (Giggles)"
