11:52 PM IST, 8:22 PM Local Time: The experienced Irish fast bowler Mark Adair held his nerves to seal a 1-run victory against hosts Netherlands in the tri-nation T20I series at The Hague.
Netherlands won the toss and elected to bowl first. Ireland scored 150/8 with Adair top scoring with 49 off 24. Tim Pringle in an allround display picked up 3/32 before scoring a thrilling and unbeaten 35 in 13 balls.
Openers Michael Levitt (19 off 24) and Max O'Dowd (33 off 30) started off slow adding 39/1 at the end of powerplay. Credit to the Irish bowlers as they chipped with wickets at regular interval. Bas de Leede had 32 to contribute in 29 balls in the middle order.
With wickets falling at the other end, Tim Pringle, arriving at the crease after 17 overs with the team needing 43 runs in 3 overs smashed 2 fours and 3 sixes. Couple of maximums were hit on consecutive deliveries in the final over against Adair. With 3 runs required for victory on the final ball, he could only collect a single scoring a total of 18 runs in the final over.
Fionn Hand (3/18) was the pick of the bowlers with an excellent economic spell. Curtis Campher (2/33) picked up important wickets with Adair (2/34) closing out the innings with the bat and ball both.

And Adair has the last laugh!!!!! He nails the yorker perfectly and Pringle gets cramped. Taking nothing away from Pringle though. He was phenomenal in this run chase. Had there been some significant contributions from the top order batters, they would have won it. Pringle gets the appreciation from the Irish side. Well deserved!
