The new era in Indian Women's Cricket under Smriti Mandhana begins with a 3-0 series win over Zimbabwe. Both sides will now travel to Vadodara for the ODI series, which begins on October 23. Let's wait and see how the Lady Chevrons respond and whether they manage to put in an all-around performance and register their first win on this tour.
Smriti Mandhana collects the trophy and joins her teammates to pose for the photographs. India, the deserving winners of this three-match T20I series.
Smriti Mandhana (India Women Captain): "[Her assessment of this match and the series?] I mean batting was very brilliant. Anushka to start with. Shafali and then Harman, everyone played their part. The bowlers did execute their plans. May be yes, some things we can work on. We will take it back and work on it.
[Pleased with how their batters went about their business tonight?] For sure. Middle order, in the first match, we couldn't get going. Top order as well. It's always good to have game time and have some runs behind you.
[Is she happy with their bowling?] It is looking good for sure. We are looking at how the dew is playing part. It will play a big part as we approach the Champions Trophy. We are looking at what kind of combination we need and it's good to have options. I'm happy and pleased with how Niki and Shafali chipped in with overs.
[What will their approach be in the ODI series?] Good domination in the way we dominated in all the three matches. That we will look to do in the ODI matches. That's what we have been speaking in the dressing room and that's what we will look to do in Vadodara in the ODI matches."
Most Player of the Match Awards for India in WT20Is:
Shafali Verma (Player of the Series): "[Feeling about bagging the POTS award] Obviously, I'm very happy, especially when I'm performing well for the team. I'm really happy that we're winning matches and everything is going in our favour.
[About maintaining consistency with the bat] Of course, I have to keep working hard every day. As I said earlier, I need to work hard, think more about the game, and focus on performing in every match. I'm enjoying my innings and trying to learn from each one and improve with every innings.
[On developing new dimensions to her batting] I've worked on that shot against the spinners. Earlier, I didn't play it, but now I've worked on my footwork. I think that's helped me time the ball better. I'm really happy with the improvement in my footwork, and I'll keep trying to get better day by day."
Player of the Series: Shafali Verma
Harmanpreet Kaur (Player of the Match): "[Thoughts on her knock?] Definitely. Enjoyed myself in the middle. I mean this is what we are here for. To enjoy. Good that those runs came.
[Her approach while batting tonight?] First ball when I hit for four, I realized that it was a good pitch and the ball was coming onto the bat nicely. That gave me the confidence and I decided to go on from there and see what happens.
[What areas did she work before this series?] Bat swing is something which is key for me. We tried to keep doing that and repeating that in the nets. I want to give the credit to my batting coach. Every time we meet in the nets, we try to improve. I think that has worked very well.
[Is there any pressure on her?] I don't think there is any pressure anymore. It's about enjoying myself on the field and that's what I want to do."
