Hardik Pandya (India Captain and Player of the Series): "I mean, I don't mind it. My Player of the series goes to the whole support staff and the team. Not, to be honest. I have always tried to read the situation and play on the spot and had to evolve as a player. So, I try to keep it simple and go with my gut feelings. I like to take ownership of my decisions. Thanks, I mean we have spoken about taking the challenge and challenging ourselves. We want to come out punching in the deciding games. Hopefully, we can come out of this well and do well in the knockout games in the future. I am a firm believer and believe in myself."

Shubman Gill (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it feels good when you practice and it pays off. I was backing myself to get the big ones in the Sri Lanka series and in the ODI series. It doesn't happen always but great to get it now. I mean everybody has a different technique to hit those sixes. Hardik bhai told me to keep batting the way I do. And it paid off.

I mean, when you are representing your country, there isn't any kind of fatigue. When you get to represent your country in all three formats, I believe, there shouldn't be any fatigue but thankful to god."

Mitchell Santner (New Zealand captain): "Yeah, I guess it was a bit disappointing. It would be nice to take the trophy. But credits to India for playing well. Gill was incredible. I think, India can be challenging for the first few overs with the ball doing a bit with the new ball. Once the game progresses, the wicket flattens and eases out.

Yeah, I guess at that time of the year there could be a dew around. Most teams could bowl first. Obviously, a great series to be a part of. To be and learn from. Excellent batting from India today, especially Gill again today."
