That's all we have for you from this game. Thanks for tuning in! We have all three finals (Bowl, Plate, and Cup), plus the 11th-, 7th-, and 3rd-place play-offs, coming your way tomorrow.
For now, this is Ajay Pal Singh signing off on behalf of our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. A special mention to our helping buddies, Abhishek Sharma and Mohammad Anab, for their support.
We saw fireworks from both teams, but Pakistan Sixes proved too hot to handle for Hong Kong Sixes in the end. A total of 106 looked competitive, but Abbas Afridi and Khawaja Nafay made a mockery of the chase as Pakistan cruised to victory with nine balls to spare.
Player of the Match: Abbas Afridi
12:48 PM IST, 3:18 PM Local Time: Pakistan Sixes blew away the hosts to make it to the Plate Final. Abbas Afridi starred with another half-century, while Khawaja Nafay remained not out on 34. Abdul Samad finished it off with a cameo, scoring 17* off 4 balls.
Chasing 107 for the win, Pakistan started strongly with both Abbas Afridi and Khawaja Nafay going berserk.
Afridi brought up his fifty off just 13 balls before retiring and then came Abdul Samad who smashed two maximums and a four en route to his unbeaten knock of 17 to seal the deal for Pakistan Sixes.
6 SIX MORE!!!! Pakistan get into the final in style!! Abdul Samad finishes off the game with a massive hit that sails out of the ground. Full and outside the off stump. Samad gets down on a knee and slogs it over deep mid wicket for a maximum to seal a comfortable win for the Men in Green. They will play Oman in the Plate final tomorrow.
4 ANOTHER BOUNDARY!!!! PAKISTAN ARE JUST A HIT AWAY FROM WINNING THIS GAME!!! Fullish, straying onto the pads. Plays a similar kind of shot by swinging it across the line. Gets enough bat on it and the ball goes high in the air towards the deep square leg region. The ball just falls short of the boundary ropes and goes for a four. 100 comes up for the Men in Green.
