Gloucestershire won the toss and elected to bowl first, and they were punished in the final 5 overs as Somerset smashed them for 75 runs and 32 runs off the last over to score 194/6 at the end of their 20 overs.
Tom Banton carried his bat throughout the innings to end unbeaten on 77 runs off 46 balls while he was ably supported by Ben Green who scored a quickfire 47 runs off 25 balls. Marchant de Lange was the pick of the bowlers for his figures of 2/25 from his 4 overs.
Come the chase, Gloucestershire had 195 to chase and they lost Cameron Bancroft for a 5-ball duck to fall behind in the game. Miles Hammond and James Bracey combined for the second wicket to steady the ship and keep their side in the game with a 46 run-stand.
Somerset came back with 2 wickets in quick succession to once again go ahead in this game. However, their lower middle order had other ideas. Captain Jack Taylor and Beau Webster stitched together a crucial 65 run-stand for the 4th wicket before Ben Charlesworth and Oliver Price's late innings charge ensured victory for Gloucestershire in today's encounter!
Captain Lewis Gregory was the best bowler for Somerset with the figure of 3/34 from 4 overs but despite his best efforts, he could not help Somerset to a win today.
