So, that’s it from this North group encounter of T20 Blast 2023. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. For now, this is Megh Mandaliya, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Amit Das alongside our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Cheers!
01:20 AM IST| Clark hands over a thumping win to Durham as they beat Northamptonshire handsomely by 10 wickets. It was Graham Clark all the way who put up a masterclass show with his first-ever T20 hundred while chasing a small target.

After winning the flip earlier in the day, Northamptonshire chose to bat first on a sunny day. Opener Lynn got cleaned up early in the innings but his partner Richardo kept things going. He had a steady start as his skipper Willey had a short stay. With Cobb coming in and playing a short cameo, Ricardo remained silent. He accelerated his gear post settling in. He got out immediately after reaching his fifty. But his 62-run stand with Saif Zaib was instrumental in putting 137 runs on the board.

Post their wickets, Northamptonshire kept losing wickets and ended up scoring well below the par score.
For the pick of the bowlers, Trevaskis and Leede picked up two scalps each. But they were outperformed by leggie Nathan Sowter who clinched his first fifer in T20 games.

While chasing the score Durham looked at ease. Their openers put up a strong opening stand to kill the match then and there. It was more of a Graham Clark who was smacking all the rubbish balls thrown at him. Northamptonshire bowlers looked clueless as Clark played risky shots and was getting rewards. Graham Clark played modern-day shots as he spared no bowlers.

Besides a brilliant batting show, Northamptonshire's sloppy fielding cost them the match. They dropped quite a few catches to make things easy for Durham openers who were just cruising through. Northamptonshire bowlers struggled with their line and length. Even skipper Alex Lees who took the backseat charged down the ground for boundaries. In the last ball of the match, Clark brought up his well-deserved century in a handsome manner.
13.2 S Zaib to G Clark
4 FOUR! There it is! A fantastic century from Graham Clark and finishes the contest in style. Maiden T20 hundred for the right-hander and he is pumped up here. Fuller and flatter on the middle and off, Clark advances down the track and smashes that straight down the ground as the ball beats the long-off fielder and races away for a boundary. A belligerent knock from the right-hander and he has helped Durham to start their campaign on a positive note.
13.1 S Zaib to G Clark
2 Fuller and flatter outside off, Clark makes room and propels that to deep extra covers for a couple of runs. Clark is just two runs away from a well-deserved century.

12.6 J Sales to G Clark
1 Good length delivery on the middle stump line, Clark was hurried by pace there and gets the leading edge that rolls to extra covers. He scampers across for a quick single and moves to 96.
12.5 J Sales to A Lees
1 Short of a length and on the top of leg, Lees controls the pull to deep square leg for a single.
12.4 J Sales to G Clark
1 Back of a length and outside off, Clark looks to hoick that across the line but gets the under edge that rolls to deep mid-wicket for a single.
