Faf du Plessis (POTM & Rotterdam Dockers Captain): "(On chasing down 179) Yeah, it's a good score. It did feel that the wicket was a lot better than yesterday. It seems over here that the wicket has a bit of grass and moisture which then slides on nicely as the game progresses. We were very clinical once again. At the halfway mark, we felt that it was a score which was just below par. But you need to put on those partnerships in order to chase it down.
(Is he enjoying his batting?) Yeah, I am enjoying it. Obviously there is a lot of running between the wickets as well. I had to be busy out there, putting the youngsters under pressure by running two's. Yeah, pleasing start to the competition.
(On him misfielding a numerous times today - a rare scene) Wow! I will put it down to a very wet and damp outfield. But it was one of those days where I was very surprised myself. Normally, I apply myself on making sure I save runs for the team. I knew with the bat I had to makeup for the team.
(Any message to the team after this win?) We just try to keep things simple. We look everyday on how to get better, basics of the game, focus on the small things. If we do those things better, we will get our results. The competition is still a long way. We will do well if we do our basics really well."

Ravichandran Ashwin (Dublin Guardians Captain): "[Thoughts after the game?] First and foremost, it was a good pitch. A true T20 pitch. Had something in it. We were always one over behind from the powerplay. We weren't able to stack up those overs to build up the pressure. To be honest, a much better performance from us. We had good things going today.
[Where do you feel you lost the game?] I just felt the game was in a place where we had one over of left-arm spinner going against the right-handed batters. We had van der Merwe to come up next. But we need to get better. That's acceptable from the inexperienced bowling attack. It's about the skills. It's about the lengths. Josh is making a comeback after a long break. They are showing signs of improvements.

6:15 PM IST & 2:45 PM Local Time: That’s it! The unbeaten streak continues for the Rotterdam Dockers, who seal a convincing 7-wicket victory with 8 balls to spare. Another clinical chase from the Dockers, while Ravi Ashwin and co. continue to search for their first win of the season.
The Rotterdam Dockers won the toss and chose to bowl first under overcast conditions. Noah Croes struggled for timing and fell for 8 in the fourth over to David Wiese, but James Vince looked fluent from the outset, leading the scoring as the Dublin Guardians reached 50/1 in the Powerplay.
James Vince accelerated after the field restrictions and remained unbeaten on a brilliant 95 off 54 balls, narrowly missing out on a century. Sanjay Krishnamurthi chipped in with 26 off 17, while Vijay Shankar smashed an unbeaten 26 off 13 to take the Guardians to a competitive total of 178/4.
The Dockers began their chase aggressively, with Michael Levitt taking the attack to the bowlers. They raced to 50 in just 4.2 overs before Joshua Little dismissed Levitt for 35 off 14, ending a 55-run opening stand. Rotterdam finished the Powerplay on 61/1 and continued to dominate, reaching 94/1 at the halfway stage.
Faf du Plessis anchored the chase with a superb 79, bringing up his fifty off 41 balls before Ravi Ashwin finally dismissed him. Faf and Heinrich Klaasen had earlier added 54 for the third wicket, putting the Dockers firmly in control. Klaasen stayed unbeaten on 34 off 28 as Rotterdam chased down the target in 18.4 overs, winning by 7 wickets with 8 balls to spare.
