Deepak: That concludes the eliminator game between Finland and Denmark. Denmark crushed Finland by 8 wickets with 12 balls to spare. An entertaining display of batting from Denmark, as they chased down the total in just eight overs.
Earlier, Finland scored 105 runs in 10 overs while losing 7 wickets. Jonathan Scamans and A Rasheed both scored 28 runs for Finland, off just 13 and 16 balls, respectively. On the other hand, Shakeel Zeb and Abdullah Mahmood scalped a couple of wickets each for Denmark. Adam Leigh and Shangeev Thanikaithasan shared one wicket each.
Denmark opened their innings strong as they prepared to chase down 106 runs, earning 44 runs for the first wicket as Taranjit Bharaj left the field after making 25 runs off 10 balls. In just 16 deliveries, Shangeev Thanikaithasan scored a scorching 43 runs, leading his team to 73 runs in just 5 overs.
In the end, Saran Aslam's 26 runs off 13 balls and Mangus Kristensen's 12 runs off 9 balls sealed the match for their team. The pair remained unbeaten till the end.
