In pursuit of 97 runs, Cape Town Samp Army had a good start, both openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Tadiwanashe Marumani were looking in a hurry to finish the match. They both played an explosive inning and stitched a partnership of 86 runs off 37 balls for the first wicket, which took the game completely away from Joburg Buffaloes' hands.
Noor Ahmad managed to take Marumani's wicket in the 7th over, but it was too late. Gurbaz was in excellent form today and played some fantastic boundaries, scoring 35 runs in his innings. Tadiwanashe Marumani was the highest run scorer for his team as he scored 54 off 24 balls. They lost a couple of wickets in the end but managed to win the match by 7 wickets with 14 balls spare.
