That's it from our coverage of this contest. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arijit Kundu and scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Shadab Jakati (Player of the Match): [on his bowling] "It's important to win the match and take wickets for the team. The wicket was different. We were always confident that if we bowl in tight areas, we will get the wickets. Getting early wickets was crucial."
Player of the Match: Shadab Jakati
Naman Ojha (Indian Royals Captain): "[thoughts on the win] Very happy to be on the winning side today.

[on the strategy] Total was on the lower side but our bowlers did the job. They bowled in the right areas and that's what we want when the score is low.

[on Jakati and Jalota] They are both brilliant players and did well for us both with bat and ball. Well done to them."
Dhiman Ghosh (Bangladesh Tigers): "(It wasn't the day for you, what was the learning in the first match) We thought that the wicket was really good, but it wasn't that good. We will try to get better and come back strong. (One of your players scored a fifty but where do you thing went wrong) Yeah, I think we were going good. Alok Kapali played well but he needed some support. As a batting group we need to be better I feel."
Time for the presentation ceremony.
9:20 PM IST, 5:50 PM Local Time: The Indian Royals kick start their campaign in the Asian Legends League with a 19-run victory over the Bangladesh Tigers. The bowlers do a tremendous job for the Indian side to defend a low total.

Indian Royals captain Naman Ojha won the toss and decided to bat first. Sarul Kanwar top scored with an unbeaten 40 off 34 deliveries hitting 3 sixes in the process. Asad Pathan scored 22 off 13 and Abhishek Jalota hit 26 off 20.

Shadab Jakati and Rishi Dhawan were the only other batters to score into double digits. Saqlain Sajib (2/10), Shafiul Islam (0/20) and Alok Kapali (1/22) were the chief culprits to restrict the Indians to a low total.

Anureet Singh struck twice in the powerplay, Shadab Jakati joined the wicket taking party to finish with 3/25, derailing the Tigers. Alok Kapali complemented his bowling performance with the bat as well scoring an unbeaten 59 off 53 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes but failed to build partnerships.

Besides Jakati, Anureet Singh picked up 2/12. Rishi Dhawan remained wicketless but conceded only 20 in his 4 overs. Abhishek Jalota picked up 1/11 in 3 overs and defended 24 runs in the final over as the Royals clinched the victory in their first game of the tournament.
