It was an amazing positive spirit shown by the Barbados team, be it Bowling or Batting. They outshined Guyana in both of these things.
Barbados Royals started the day by winning the toss and inviting Guyana to bat first. Fatima Sana and Shakera Selman shared 2 wickets each and Chinelle Henry got a wicket. Talking about the Guyana batting unit, Williams scored 16 runs on 27 deliveries, Athapaththu scored 19 runs on 18 balls, Taylor who remained not out till the end scored 32 runs on 34 balls, Campbelle scored 16 runs on 25 balls, Nation scored 11 runs on 13 balls, Vincent came out to bat for a single ball and Gajnabi got out the event without playing a single ball. Fraser got out on the golden duck. By all this, Guyana scored a total of 100 runs after batting for 20 overs with the loss of 7 wickets.
Then, Barbados came into bat and didn't lose many wickets in the starting but somehow Guyana managed to take the wickets in the bunch. Barbados lost a few wickets in less time. The openers, Alleyene scored 10 runs off the 19 balls she faced, Matthews scored 22 off 22 balls. Cooper, the first down batter got out on a golden duck. Then came in, Tryon who scored 19 runs off the 17 balls. Henry the next batter scored 11 runs off the 26 balls, then came in Joseph and showed great intent in her batting and scored an unbeaten 30 off 19 ball, helping Barbados in winning this match. Talking about the bowling of Guyana, Connell and Gajnabi got 2 wickets each and Khaka and Fraser got a single wicket each.
