That's it from our coverage of match number 4 of the Legends League Cricket season 2. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Parthiv Patel (Gujarat Giants Captain):"Absolutely, without a doubt happy with the win. We wanted to have runs on the board. The start was good and then we did not capitalize with the start.
We were 10-15 runs short but the pressure that we applied helped us to win. Yes, we rely on Kevin O'Brien, Chris Gayle and Levi and we want those starts.
Yes, Rajat Bhatia bowled well under pressure when it mattered and he is an experienced bowler and he did the job for us.
There are areas to work on and hope we can come back stronger and build on this winning momentum in the coming games."
Irfan Pathan (Bhilwara Kings Captain): "We could have started better as far as the bowling is concerned but we didn't stitch a partnership. My shot was very bad at that time. I thought I should attack and get going in that over of Rajat to finish the game then and there. I should have just taken it till the last which I generally do. I played a bad shot and I take responsibility of that.
It was a pretty chaseable target, we came pretty close. We need to start well, bowl on the stumps. When you have Chris Gayle in that kind of a mood. He is in that mood since 20 years now. It's pretty hard to contain him. It was pretty good effort from Rahul, the way he bowled against him. We kept losing wickets even though Lendl Simmons was there till the end. No one stood with him and that was one of the reasons we lost the game.
2 injuries as far as Watson and Porterfield is concerned. It has given us a little setback. Even then we have a decent team. If we play to our potential, we certainly are a team to beat."
Lendl Simmons (Legend of the Match): "We kept losing wickets at regular intervals. We tried our best, but Sreesanth bowled a great last over. Pinal was batting really well but he got out at the wrong time. I think we still had a chance to win the game but we lost our way. The bowling was good in the end. We started badly, but came back and I felt 173 was the target that we could have chased, but lacked partnerships with the bat. I hope we come back in the next game."

10:20 PM IST and Local Time: The Gujarat Giants get their first win of Legends League Cricket season 2 as they defeat the Bhilwara Kings in a final ball thriller by 3 runs! Opener Chris Gayle was the star with the bat as the Giants lost the toss, batted first and put up 172/6 in their 20 overs.
The Kings lost Tillakaratne Dilshan in the very first over with his opening partner Solomon Mire joining him in the hut in the 3rd over. Impact player Lendl Simmons picked up the innings and added 35 runs with Robin Bist (18 off 12).
The spinners put the brakes on the Bhilwara innings and also picked wickets at regular intervals. Simmons continued to bat aggressively adding 34 with Pinal Shah (16 off 11) and then 30 with Irfan Pathan (9 off 12).
With 5 needed off the final ball and 2 for his century, Simmons could manage only a single and finished unbeaten on 99. His knock comprised of 12 fours and 3 sixes with him facing 61 deliveries.
Rayad Emrit was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/30, impact player Ishwar Chaudhary (2/32) was good with ball but sloppy in the field. Sarabjit Ladda (1/33) and Sreesanth (1/33) had identical figures with the latter defending 14 runs in the final over. Hero of the previous game Rajat Bhatia got the solitary and important wicket of Irfan Pathan.
Gujarat Giants are the fourth team to win at least one game this season and take the fourth spot in the standings. Bhilwara Kings with a slightly better net run rate are at number 3. Stay tuned as we come back with the post match presentation.
