That brings an end to our coverage of this game. It was pleasure bringing you all the updates from this contest. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Dev Rajawat and scorer Rajesh Pal. Bye bye.
Tahlia McGrath (Australia Women Captain): β[Were you confident of defending that total?] We got challenged by the West Indian spinners. They knew how to play on that wicket. Mooney played really well. We were happy with that total.
[On how did they pull back things with the ball?] Strong start with the bat for them. We had to keep the nerves. Just keep the stumps in play. Happy to get those wickets and the win.
[What's the secret of being so dominant?] We are just never satisfied. We are looking to be better. Itβs a competitive group. We love this group. Plenty of things to improve on. But happy to get the series win.
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain): β[How did you feel about the score at the halfway mark?] I think we did well there. But they got too many after what position we were with the ball at one stage. But 270 was a chasable score.
[On the batting performance] I guess itβs just about going back to the drawing board. Seeing the ways how they are getting dismissed, including me and Stafanie. As a group, we have to figure out where we can score when they are bowling like that.
[Reasons why West Indian fans should believe in this team?] There are improvements. Last time we played in Australia, the average score was 210. This series, things looked quite different. We are playing against world number one side. There are few improvements but there are big catch-up games we have to play."
Georgia Wareham (Player of the Match): β[Her approach while coming in to bat today] For me, my role is to come in and get busy. When you are coming into such games when Mooney is set, itβs easy to just give her the strike.
[Did she do anything different while preparing to bowl here in West Indies?] We had some spin in the last two games. Hitting the stumps as much as possible. I try to keep it simple and go on from there."

6:09 AM IST, 8:39 PM Local Time: There you go. Australia Women complete yet another convincing victory on this tour. They beat West Indies Women by 90 runs in the second ODI to take an unassailable lead in the three-match series. The Caribbean side continues to struggle against the number one ranked side in WODIs.
Chasing 270, West Indian openers Qiana Joseph and skipper Hayley Matthews went unscathed till the end of the powerplay. Both added 57 for the opening wicket before Joseph fell on 29 in the 12th over. Matthews (45) along with Stafanie Taylor (18) led the recovery work before both fell on consecutive balls.
The Southern Stars were terrific with the ball in the middle overs. They built the pressure and got the rewards as none of the West Indian batters got going. A procession of wickets meant that they lost 8 for 36 to get reduced to 130/9.
Afy Fletcher (32*) and Karishma Ramharack (14) frustrated the Southern Stars with a 49-run 10th-wicket stand. Ramharack holed out in the deep as West Indies Women got bundled out on 179 in 46 overs to lose the game by 90 runs.
Ashleigh Gardner (3/34) and Georgia Wareham (3/29) bowled beautifully for the Australian side and grabbed three wickets each. Tahlia McGrath (2/15) and Alana King (1/45) were the other wicket-takers as they completed a dominant performance with the ball.
Earlier in the day, Australia Women won the toss and elected to bat first. Yet again, Georgia Voll and Phoebe Litchfield gave their side a solid start with a 64-run stand before the hosts pulled back things. Voll (23), Ellyse Perry (0), Litchfield (46) and Ashleigh Gardner (5) departed in a quick succession.
The visitors were reduced to 82/4 before Beth Mooney resurrected the innings with a well-composed knock of 65. She built solid 58 and 70-run stands with skipper Tahlia McGrath (24) and Georgia Wareham (39) to lay the foundation for a strong finish. Nicola Carey (30*) and Alana Kingβs (26) unbeaten 55-run stand helped Australia Women post 269/7 at the end of their innings.
For West Indies Women, the spinners did all the damage. Hayley Matthews (3/40) picked up three wickets whereas Ashmini Munisar (2/45) and Afy Fletcher (2/44) picked up two each. The batters then faltered in the run chase and they lost the game by 90 runs.
