Milestone
With that the 3-Match Odi series here in Pakistan comes to an end. It was a hard-fought battle between two relatively young sides. Only Babar Azam and Adam Zampa from their respective sides have played over 100 matches in the format. We saw two debutants in Arafat Minhas and Oliver Peake as well and both impressed at different points.

Many talking points for both sides from this series as they gear up for the World Cup next year. Australia will certainly be proud of how they fought without a few big names in the squad. Once they come back, they surely will be a much stronger force to reckon with.

Pakistan, for a first will love the fact that Babar Azam is back to his best and is scoring runs consistently in varied conditions. Also, they would love the fact that the entire bowling unit chipped in at different points and most importantly they played as a team.

On this note, I, Manan Mehta would like to take your leave on behalf of my colleagues Ajay Pal Singh, Sachin Yadav and Aman. B-byeee!!!
Shaheen Shah Afridi collects the trophy and joins his teammates as they pose for photographs in front of the winners' board.
Shaheen Shah Afridi (POTM & Pakistan Captain): "[On a hard-fought win in the decider] Yes, it was a team effort. Throughout the series, it was tough for the batters to score runs. Every run counts, they put in the efforts that is why we won the match.

[On testing batters' technique in spin-heavy conditions] Yes, when you play at home, you want to use the home advantage. When we went to Australia, we won there. Our batters batted well and credit to Arafat, he bowled well in the series.

[On his bowlers using the conditions] Yes, one or two partnerships they managed to got. But our plan was to bowl dot and create pressure on them. Credit to all the bowlers.

[On his own bowling] I always try to do well for the team. Will try to do the same in the future as well."
Josh Inglis (Australia Captain): "(On the fight put up by the bowlers) Yeah, I think just like the first game we were 15-20 runs short. I think great effort from our bowlers and fielders to fight and put us in a position from where we could have won the game. Eventually not to be so yeah.

(On the positives in this series) Yeah there have been some really good performances in the series. It is a great deal for this young side that we carry in the dressing room. I think we made great strides in the second ODI. Today, we had a great chance to be ruthless but unfortunately that did not happen. Pakistan played really well, you have to give it to them. They are a very good side but as a whole many good things in the series.

(On the upcoming tour of Bangladesh) Yeah, we might get similar conditions over there. So yeah, nice to play in some different conditions and get the experience of this as well."
Arafat Minhas (POTS): "[On his match-winning performances in his debut ODI series] I am happy that we won the series. It was a complete team effort, I am super happy with my performance and would look to continue it in the future.

[On bowling in powerplay] I think it is all about mindset. If you have a positive mindset, the results are also positive. I think we prepared well for this series and that helped us.

[On how this performance will help for future games] Yes, this is a good platform to gain confidence. I think my performance will give me a huge boost and we will try to keep performing like this in the future as well."
