That's it from our coverage of match number 28 in the ETPL! Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Dev Rajawat and Deepak Prakash along with scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Edinburgh Castle Rockets will take on Belfast Wolves and Rotterdam Dockers will face Dublin Guardians in tomorrow's double headers! The first of those games is scheduled at 3 PM IST/10:30 AM local time.
The Amsterdam Flames move to a stronger position to finish in the top 3 and move into the playoffs. 13 points to their name and second position in the table. Glasgow Cosmic finish their campaign with just 4 points to their name with 2 wins in 10 matches.
Scott Edwards (Amsterdam Flames Captain): (On the team's performance) "Yeah, again, I think we're playing some really good cricket at the moment throughout the second leg of this tournament. I think there's probably still a couple of things we can fix up in the field and that sort of thing, but outside of that, I think the boys have been great.

(On the team's fightback) Yeah, I think that's been a little bit of a story for us. I think there are times where we haven't been as good, and yeah, probably the most pleasing thing is the fightback we've had. I think Aryan and, yeah, a couple of spinners there getting wickets throughout the middle. Yeah, it's just super.

(On the trio of spinners) Yeah, it's something we spoke about, you know, leading into the tournament, to have the option of that third spinner, and I think it's been really a bit of a luxury for us. I think in these windy conditions, you know, big side, small side, having the option of those spinners going both ways is really important.

(On Curtis Campher's form and knowledge of the conditions) Yeah, I think both of those. I think his knowledge has been awesome, and then, you know, he's played different roles for us throughout. He's finished games, he's come in in the Powerplay and got us off to good starts. So, no, he's been brilliant for us.

(On the approach to the playoffs) Yeah, I think firstly it's nice to have a couple of days off now as opposed to some of those other teams. So, yeah, we'll sort of sit back, we'll watch the games tomorrow, come up with some plans for, yeah, obviously coming up against these teams, and we're playing some pretty good cricket at the moment."
David Payne (Player of the Match): [on the approach] "I tried to swing that new ball and today it swung the bit and hit the right areas.

[on return to injury] I had a few months off and was rusty to begin with. I built the momentum and feels like I've been improving each time.

[on dismissing Allen] I told him after the game, I've got some demons after playing against him in the IPL. That was a big relief to get him out.

[on dismissing Livingstone] I was praying the whole innings that he would get out. I thought that was just gonna go over the boundary, so it was just thankful to see the catch being taken.

[on the finals weekend] We'll regroup for the next couple of days, get some good rest. A bit of training on Friday and see where we lie on Saturday."

George Munsey (Glasgow Cosmic Captain): (On the defeat in their final game) "Yeah, look, tough result again. I thought we had a platform there to kick on, but again, they [Amsterdam] bowled well there, made it hard to hit the boundaries at the back end, and got to probably just below-par score.

(On the partnership with Liam Livingstone) They probably can't say all the words that we used, but no, it was difficult out there, to be honest. I think we were just trying to target the right ends with the breeze and just making sure that we were being as smart as possible with the match-ups and the breeze. But other than that, it was trying to be as positive as possible and get as many runs as we could.

(On the team's bowling effort in the Powerplay) Maybe. I thought the boys did well up top to create the chances. I think there were a couple of chances left out there that didn't quite go our way, so it could have easily been four or five down in that Powerplay. So that's cricket, and, you know, I'm proud of the fight that was shown there with a below-par score and to generate that many chances. We could have still won that game.

(On the success of the ETPL) Yeah, no, absolutely. It's been fantastic, great to see it finally happening. I think, you know, a massive thanks to our owners and all the owners for getting this in the ETPL. I think this is a great start for the local lads to play and rub shoulders with some of the best cricketers in the world. So long may it continue, and hopefully a lot of good, positive lessons to learn along the way.

(On the positives from the season) Yeah, absolutely. I think right the way through we've had a lot of individual performances that have shown what we can do, and we haven't quite strung it together as a team. So I think you're spot on there with Ali. I think he's had a fantastic tournament, so looking forward to seeing how he develops. Even Liam Naylor and, you know, the old Richie Berrington coming out and smacking a bat. So it's been great to see the lads do their business with some of the best in the world."
9:41 PM IST, 5:11 PM Local Time: The Amsterdam Flames defeat the Glasgow Cosmic by 5 wickets to move 2nd in the points table and finish their season with 13 points! The spinners helped restrict Cosmic to 126 in 19.5 overs with the middle order chasing the total down in just 16 overs.
Flames skipper Scott Edwards won the toss and elected to bowl first. Cosmic skipper George Munsey (51) and Liam Livingstone (44) alongside opener Jason Roy (17) were the only 3 batters to score into double digits as the side folded for 126 in 19.5 overs.
Bas de Leede bowling the 18th and 20th over of the innings picked up his career-best 4/6. David Payne struck in the first over to send Finn Allen on a golden duck, finishing with 3/27. Spinners Michael Bracewell (1/20 with a maiden), Aryan Dutt (1/22 with a maiden) and Tim Pringle (0/33) bowled tidy spells. Curtis Campher picked up 1/17.
