The Amsterdam Flames will feel hard done with the result and these kind of games are extremely hard to predict and analyze especially with regards to the results. However they will need to brush it off quickly and try to bounce back stronger in the next few matches.
For a long time, we felt that we will not get a game. We should really thank the ground staff for doing an incredible job which allowed us to have a game. It was a good contest and in the end Belfast Wolves chased down a score which wasn't too high. Paul Stirling showed his class and proved why he is still so valued in the circuit.
Glenn Maxwell (Belfast Wolves Captain) - "(On the game result)Certainly is. Momentum is a powerful thing in T20 cricket. The fact that we were able to get on and win. It is huge for us to have two wins from three games despite a wash out.

Paul Stirling (POTM): "[On his knock] Yeah, it is tricky. It can go either way in those sorts of matches. Drew from my experience of T10 cricket. This was half of that. I feel our bowlers bowled really well to restrict them to a chasable total. We managed to get across the line.
[[On getting the motivation to go out there and play in different leagues] Yeah, I think that is the difficult part of it. Not the tournaments but when there is rain around and you are not sure when you are going to get underway with things. It has been an awesome start for the Wolves. The franchise has been really good, and we have gotten off to a great start on the field as well so long may that continue.
[On a few of his shots] It was just nice to get a couple out of the middle. In a 5-over game you can get behind the eight ball if you are 1 off 3. Add a couple dots there and you are under real pressure. So it was nice to get one out of the middle. That gave me the confidence to get a couple more.
[Do you like to farm strike when you are batting well?] Not when you are batting with Mark Chapman and Glenn Maxwell. You are happy enough to give them the strike.
[On the left-right combination Chapman and Maxwell bring] Absolutely, especially the calmness they bring to the table.
[On the number of Irish players taking part] Yeah, I think this is unbelievable. It is the opportunity it presents. Especially for the young local players the world is an oyster. I suppose, the only way to make a career in cricket in Ireland is to play for you national team and this opens up another opportunity to show you talent and show what you have got to the world."

(On whom the pressure is ) Probably depends. If you get in a couple of dots then it becomes difficult for the batters. All of a sudden it gets tough for the batting side with a few dot balls.
(On the surface) The pitch was a bit different from what I know. This is a different wicket. There was a bit of bounce from what there was the other. It changes things a bit but it has been good so far.
(On the experience of playing in this tournament) I think it is brilliant. All the Scottish, Irish and Dutch players playing against each other. We of course know a lot about them. There is also a lot of quality overseas players. It is great and looking forward to the rest of the tournament.
(On what it means to the European players) It is great to be out there in the middle and especially for the players in Europe. The chance to be able to rub shoulders with the legends of the game is a great opportunity for a lot of these players. "

6:39 PM IST, 3:09 PM Local Time: Belfast Wolves win by 9 wickets! It was a tiny game but an entertaining one. At times it is good to have these 5-over bursts. They sure are very refreshing. Belfast Wolves do well in it for today and pick up some crucial points. They remain unbeaten in this competition after 3 games and Maxwell wears a big smile on his face as a result of that.
We had a long delay before we got underway with any sort of play. It was rain initially and then it took the groundsmen some time to dry the outfield. Once they felt it was ready to play on, we got going with a mini-5-over game. Belfast Wolves won the toss and elected to bowl first. From the Flames, openers Yuvraj Samra (19* off 11) and Steve Smith (20 off 10) were the pick of the batters. Tim David at 3 could only muster 9 runs off his 6 balls before Bas de Leede chipped in with 7* off 3. Chris Jordan was the pick of the bowlers with 1-18 in his 2 overs that included a pinpoint yorker to get rid of Smith. The Flames managed to get to 56/2 in 5 overs.
