So thats all from today, this is Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Arjun Bhalla. Tata and good night folks
Kieron Pollard, winning skipper: I am very very proud. Well played to the boys for those two points. You try to execute as much as possible. If you are batting, try to be on top of the bowlers. You try and enjoy yourselves. You don't know what will happen after two days. We might be smashed all around the park. So, we need to execute well.
Arya: Became a close encounter in the end but in true senses, the Gladiators were well and truly ahead of the game for the majority of the time, and in the end despite some good bowling in the last two overs, Team Abu Dhabi fell well short. Gladiators did their homework right despite some good fight from Abu Dhabi. They kept things interesting till the last over and despite two quick wickets Sunil Narine carved out a back of a length delivery down deep 3rd man for a boundary which was the icing on the cake after a bit of a lull
Arjun: The nail-biter comes to the end!!!! The Gladiators win by 4 wickets!!!
9.4 Jamie Overton to Sunil Narine
4 FOUR!!! back of a length on the stumps, Narine makes a bit of room, gets an outside edge past deep 3rd man off to the boundary
W WICKET!!! thats back to back for Overton, Duckett makes good ground and takes a spectacular catch, tries to pull the short delivery, ends up getting a top edge straight back to the bowler
