On January 12, 2026, Australian captain Alyssa Healy sent shockwaves through the cricketing world by announcing her retirement from all formats. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter confirmed that while her T20I career ends immediately, she will lead the side one last time in the ODI and in the one-off Test in the ongoing India tour of Australia.
Famously known as "Midge," Healy departs as one of the most decorated players in history. On that note, to celebrate her 16-year career, we look back at five of her most iconic performances across Test, ODI, and T20 cricket.
Alyssa Healy’s 5 Best Knocks
1. 170 vs England (ODI) – 2022 World Cup Final, Christchurch
Perhaps the greatest individual performance in a World Cup final, men's or women's, and the top in our list of Alyssa Healy’s 5 best knocks. Healy dismantled the England attack with a staggering 170 off 138 balls.
Having scored a century in the semi-final just days earlier, she became the first player to hit back-to-back hundreds in World Cup knockouts. Her 26 boundaries led Australia to a massive 356 total, securing their seventh title and cementing her legacy as a big-game player.
2. 148* vs Sri Lanka (T20I) – 2019, Sydney
Healy rewrote the record books at North Sydney Oval with a breathtaking unbeaten 148 from just 61 deliveries. At the time, it was the highest individual score in women’s T20Is.
Reaching her century in only 46 balls (the second-fastest ever), she showcased her "zero fear" approach, bludgeoning 19 fours and 7 sixes in a display of pure batting dominance.
3. 158 vs India (ODI) – 2026, Hobart
In what was a fairytale climax for her one-day career, Healy signed off from ODIs with a record-breaking 158 off just 98 balls on March 01, 2026, at the Bellerive Oval. In her 126th and final ODI, she toyed with the Indian attack, racing from 100 to 150 in just 16 balls.

It was the highest individual score by an Australian woman on home soil, ensuring her 50-over career ended exactly how it was lived: at maximum speed.
4. 75 vs India (T20I) – 2020 T20 World Cup Final, Melbourne
In the T20 World Cup final 2020, in front of a record-breaking crowd of 86,174 at the MCG, Healy produced a masterclass in handling pressure. She set the tone from the first delivery, smashing 75 off 39 balls.
Her aggressive start (including three consecutive sixes off Shikha Pandey) broke the spirit of the Indian bowlers early on, leading Australia to a historic victory in what remains one of the most-watched women's cricket matches in history.
5. 99 vs South Africa (Test) – 2024, Perth
While Alyssa Healy famously scored a gritty half-century with two fractured fingers with the help of painkillers in the 2023 Ashes, her 99 at the WACA stands out for its technical brilliance. Coming in with Australia at a disastrous-looking 12/3, Healy played a composed, counter-attacking innings.
Though she fell just one run short of becoming the first Australian woman to score centuries in all three formats, the knock proved she had the temperament to master the longest format under immense pressure.
